The Bach Brazil's Easter Concert brings a selection of arias, choirs and symphonies from the cantatas and passions related to Easter, with the illustrious participation of counter-director Paulo Mestre. In addition to the vocal works, the orchestra conducted by Fernando Cordella will perform solo pieces for harpsichord and cello.

BIOGRAPHIES
PAULO MESTRE, contractor
Born in Curitiba, Paulo Mestre developed an important career as a soloist, standing out in international performances in several cities in France, Germany, United States, Canada, Israel, Portugal, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Argentina among others.
He has also been acting as a soloist with important orchestras such as OSESP, São Paulo Municipal Theater Orchestra, USP Orchestra, Rio de Janeiro Symphony Orchestra, Petrobrás Orchestra, Paraíba Orchestra, OSPA, among others. It was directed by Marin Alsop, Roberto Minczuk, Silvio Viegas, Julio Moretzsohn, Carlos Prieto, Aylton Escobar, Cristina Banegas, Ricardo Kanji, Homero Magalhães Filho, Manfredo Kraemer, Nicolas Rauss and Nicolau Figueiredo.
He was the protagonist of Gluck's opera "Orfeu" in Mendoza, as Speranza in Monteverdi's "Orfeu" in Rio de Janeiro and in Curitiba as Ptolemy in Haendel's Opera "Júlio César". At the opera Acteon de Charpentier in Curitiba, Dido and Aeneas with Cia Minaz.
He participated in recordings with Camerata Antiqua de Curitiba, with the Calíope group from Rio de Janeiro, with the Juiz de Fora Festival, with Roberto de Regina and recently with the OSESP Choir and Percussion.
FERNANDO CORDELLA, harpsichord
Fernando Cordella is considered one of the main harpsichordists of his generation in Latin America. Conductor and artistic director of Sociedade Bach Porto Alegre. In São Paulo, he received the TOYP JCI award as the most expressive figure in Brazil in 2015, in the “Cultural Success” category.
He has acted as a soloist and guest conductor in the main orchestras in Brazil and abroad, in projects with: Luis Otávio Santos, Peter van Heyghen, Nathalie Stutzmann, Olivia Centurioni, Roman Garrioud, Michaela Comberti, Bart Naessens, Rodolfo Richter, among others.
He is coordinator of the Baroque Music Workshop at the São Paulo Municipal School of Music and professor of the Harpsichord Class at the same institution - Fundação Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. Pianist by training, he had his orientation with the Brazilian pianist Dirce Knijnik and later at the Federal University of Rio Grande Sul with Prof. Dr. André Loss. In the harpsichord, Nicolau de Figueiredo was its main master.
Winner of the Açorianos Award 2011 as best interpreter for the album “CRAVOS - from Frescobaldi to Mozart”.
